plotter on tracing paper, intaglio engraving (aquatint on zinc) and text on Japanese paper
164 x 205 cm

The beginning of this work was been the finding of an ancient boarding map of Bizcay Gulf and the evocative charm that conveied
the tide phenomenon of the Atlantic Ocean.
The installation attempts to suggest the idea of the tide rhytm: its slow but continuous to rise and to go down.
There is a fist layer maked of a plotter of the boarding map and a second level composed from a series of small aquatints printed on Japanese paper. Each small print was installed like a post-it so the paper easily waves and allows to see the map below.
The transparence of the material and the way to install the work contribute to suggest the idea of the infinite movement of the ocean.
